I wrote copy for the Lily Lines newsletter and reported stories that resonate with women:
June 25, 2018: Why #PermitPatty went viral
July 2, 2018: Will Trump’s Supreme Court pick be a woman?
July 18, 2018: Why 3 women interrupted the World Cup Final
My daily duties also consisted of crafting social copy for The Lily's online platforms.
I curated 3-4 sections of The Post's national news app, updating headlines & decks as stories broke:
Frequently curated politics, business & technology, opinions and life & entertainment sections.
Edited and updated headlines for stories, adding interactive elements (photos, videos, graphics) to mobile app.
Pitch stories to distributive platforms, such as Apple News and MSN.
Utilize analytics tools (Chartbeat) and news judgment to organize stories.
I worked with a team of producers and designers to write copy for The Post's Snapchat Discover
I wrote more tile stories than I could count, but above are a few of my favorites. During my time on this team, I became well-versed in translating a thoroughly reported story into a few paragraphs for a predominantly millennial Snapchat audience.
